Energy efficient coatings

Protective coatings

A number of coatings have been developed to address a range of problems relating to substrate contamination, bacterial growth reduction, anti pathogen protection.

  • SinanO protective coatings
  • Made from silicon dioxide - also called liquid glass.
  • SiO2 - from the environment for the environment
  • The raw materials are rich in natural content and are therefore environmentally-friendly. Most sand on the earth is made up of silicon dioxide (quartz). Not only is there plenty of it but because of its durability and chemical resistance it is also resistant to the weather.  It is also the main component in all (quartz) glass.
  • By reducing the requirement for cleaning agents or other chemical processing products for the most diverse range of surfaces, the functional properties of SiO2 coatings in the nano-technology sector aid in protecting the environment.

Antimicrobial coatings can give major benefits in areas of healthcare, by helping to minimise the persistence and spread of microbes such as viruses, bacteria and fungi. Such coatings are seen as an addition to, and not a replacement for, the procedures in place for decontaminating and sterilising surgical equipment and operating theater surfaces (such as disinfectants, autoclaving etc.). Coatings can help minimise the ability of microbes to bind and start growing on surfaces that are exposed to patient body fluids during normal operating procedures.

 
 
 
 
  • Advanced  wear protection with WS2

Nano powder Tungsten Disulphide (WS?) can be used as a dry lubricant or in lubricant oil. When material is manufactured into nanoparticles, its reactivity increases.  The smaller the particle size, the higher the surface area. Nanoparticles have a very high surface area to volume ratio.  This enables a higher percentage of atoms (in nanoparticles) to interact with other matter. Therefore the Surface Area (measured in square meters per gram) is an important unit of measure for a Nano lubricant. The higher the surface area, the higher the lubricity.

  • Resists carbon build-up from burnt deposits due to its extremely low coefficient of friction - less than half that of Moly and Teflon.
  • Solves problems such as: friction, excessive wear, seizing, galling and fretting.
  • Enhances the performance of all oils and greases.
  • Eliminates and reduces costly maintenance problems that cause breakdowns and expensive downtime by stopping galling fretting and friction caused by dissimilar metals and their different hardnesses.
